After years without any development in this area of the market, customers requiring this adaptation were left with very basic and limited options. Designed from the ground up to provide a wide range of benefits to the customer when compared to previous offerings, our new Quick Release Pedal Guard fills this gap in the market and is now available both through the Motability Scheme and for privately owned vehicles.
Pedal Guards are an important safety feature for drivers who use hand controls to operate the brake and/or accelerator, as they remove the risk of their feet becoming trapped under or inadvertently pressing the pedals whilst driving. The new Quick Release Pedal Guard is available in both full size guards to cover both pedals, or as a brake-only guard for drivers who either still use the original accelerator pedal or have a hinged accelerator pedal fitted to maximise their legroom. It is also suitable for vehicles with floor mounted organ style accelerator pedals.
The Quick Release Pedal Guard is vehicle specific which means it fits seamlessly into your vehicle without any damage to the trims, carpet or bodywork, and also allows for maximum legroom for the driver – gaining an average of 4 inches extra space to stretch out into compared to pedal guards mounted on the footwell floor. Years of feedback about lost fasteners, jammed quick release mechanisms, and worn heels on shoes from metalwork underfoot, drove us to create a quick release mechanism which is both unobtrusive and extremely reliable, so you can enjoy being seated in your car the way it was intended.
