The ‘Tip-Up’ folding element of this product allows it to pivot onto its side. After performing this motion the transfer plate sits comfortably between the seat and the door of the vehicle until it is required again. Simply perform the same movement in reverse, lowering the plate using the pivoting motion until it is in the horizontal position, to use it again.
The primary advantage of the Kivi Tip-Up Plate is that this folding motion allows the vehicle door to be closed and opened without having to remove the plate from it’s base each time. This transfer plate is consistent with E.C. rules and is rated by its manufacturer as possessing a maximum load capacity of 120 kg.
