Lightened Power Steering
Lightened Power Steering
If the steering on your car is too heavy it can make turning the steering wheel difficult. To resolve this issue we can make the steering of the vehicle lighter so that it is easier for you to turn the wheel. The degree of lightness will depend on your needs which we can determine through an assessment of your strength.
Lightened Power Steering is ideal for people who drive using a steering aid or remote control device like a Lodgesons or SmartSteer unit. The reduced weight compliments one handed steering very well meaning that people with reduced strength can benefit highly from the combination of these two adaptations.
Both hydraulic and electric systems can be modified to make steering lighter. However it is still advisable to contact our office team about the compatibility of lightened power steering with your vehicle as it is not readily available for every vehicle on the market.
