The Spring Assisted Seat Slide involves installation of a spring to help pull the driver or front passenger seat forwards in the vehicle. This can prove to be helpful for amputees or those with reduced core strength who my find it difficult to bring the seat forwards using the conventional method.
The Spring assist does not aid with sliding the seat backwards. This is because many vehicle seats are naturally sit at a slight slope within the vehicle, so it is often easy to adjust and slide backwards after the spring assist has aided with pulling the seat forwards.
