Over Ring Accelerator
The Over Ring Accelerator offers a easy-to-use solution for accelerating using a person's hands whilst providing the user with Comfort and Familiarity. Similarly to the Under Ring Accelerator, the adaptation is mounted directly over the original steering wheel, meaning you maintain the normal driving position of both hands on the steering wheel in the "10 to 2 position”.
Finished in hand stitched soft Italian Leather it integrates perfectly with the car’s interior. It also allows full view of the vehicle's dashboard and retains airbag functionality.
This product requires very little strength in the hand or fingers to operate and so is well suited to people with reduced dexterity in these areas. Braking is operated either with the original pedal or via an additional Brake Lever being installed in the vehicle.
The Over Ring Accelerator also has a Quick Release element whereby the user can detach the ring from it's mounting point. In this way, should the occasion arise, the steering wheel can be operated in the conventional manner.
Additional Features
Every installation comes complete with a Motor Reduction Button which reduces the accelerator power by 50%. This can reduce any stress in built up traffic, or when parking. It can also help whilst the user is first learning to use the adaptation by acting as a 'Limiter'.
A Brake Safety Switch is featured in the installation of the Brake Lever, or retro-fitted to the original pedal. Upon activation of this switch the Over Ring Accelerator is automatically deactivated allowing you to safely perform an emergency stop should the occasion arise. To regain acceleration simply release the ring and pull towards you again.

Almost all driving adaptations allow someone else to drive the car as usual. Depending on the adaptation, they can either be folded away, turned off, or partially removed using a quick release mechanism. In some cases, nothing needs to be done at all.
