Remote Control Devices
Remote Control Devices
Remote control devices allow people with restricted mobility to operate the secondary functions of a car safely with one hand. Simply pressing a button activates the required function e.g. horn, indicators, lights etc.
SmartSteer
These units allow secondary functions such as indicators, headlights, horn and windscreen wipers to be operated by a wireless keypad mounted on the steering wheel. Available with 10 or 13 functions.
5 Way Remote Control Device
A small round keypad, mounted to the dashboard or hand controls, which allows you to activate headlights, indicators and horn without having to release your hold on the steering wheel.
Lodgesons R200 Keypad
These units allow secondary functions such as indicators, headlights, horn and windscreen wipers to be operated by a wireless keypad control incorporated into a steering aid mounted on the steering wheel. Available with 10 or 13 functions.
StickSteer
The StickSteer brings all of these functions to your fingertips, headlights, indicators, horn, hazard lights and wipers.
Remote control devices allow operation of indicators, horn, lights, wipers, and other secondary controls without removing your hands from the steering wheel or primary driving controls. Systems include StickSteer, SmartSteer, 5 way remotes, and the Lodgesons R200 keypad.
Drivers using hand controls for acceleration and braking may not be able to safely release the steering wheel to operate indicator stalks or other switches. Remote systems consolidate these functions into a single accessible location.
Mounting positions vary depending on the device and your needs. Common locations include the steering wheel, a separate stalk near the steering column, or integrated into hand control systems. We'll work with you to find the most ergonomic position.
