Automatic Boot Opener
Automatic Boot Opener
To convert a standard manual rear boot hatch into an automatic rear boot hatch. There are different varieties available for specific models and requirements. Losing the use of your legs, or finding it increasingly difficult to bend and lift, doesn't mean you have to give up loading your own boot. An automatic boot opener lets you open and close the tailgate at the touch of a button, making it far easier to load shopping, luggage or a folded wheelchair without straining to reach or lift a heavy hatch.
Electric Boot Opener (RGS)
Replaces the original gas springs of the tailgate with electric motors to remotely open the tailgate at the press of a button on a remote key fob or the original key fob.
The RGS is only available for vehicles with powered boot closing latch (Larger boot lids with this product will fail to slam shut with this product so will require the vehicle to have the powered boot closing latch). In these cases we recommend the Pneumatic Boot Opener or the ATG below.
Available on a range of cars and vans. Please contact us to find out more.
Electric Boot Opener (ATG)
Another option available for a specific range of vehicles:
- Volkswagen Transporter T5
- Volkswagen Transporter Caravelle
- Volkswagen Caddy
- Citroen Berlingo MK II
- Peugeot Partner MK II
- Mercedes Vito
- Mercedes Viano
Pneumatic Boot Opener (A-Hatch)
A pneumatic compressor and cylinder provides an automatic boot opener. Normally the boot must be unlocked first using the original key fob. A remote control key fob is available to automatically open and shut the rear boot hatch. This system can be fitted to most vehicles and is commonly used where the electric options are not available.
