General Adaptations
Our general adaptations are available on the Motability Scheme and can be recommended following a professional assessment.
Electric Handbrake
Easy Release Handbrake
Designed for drivers with limited hand function, this adaptation reduces the grip required to use a standard handbrake and eliminates the need to depress the button with the thumb.
Lightened Power Steering
SmartSelector - Electronic Gearing
The SmartSelector offers a solution for people who are having difficulty operating the standard electronic gear selectors on automatic vehicles. This adaptation modifies the selector lever so that it can be operated via an easily accessible keypad usually located to the left of the steering wheel.
Cruise Control
Stalk Crossover Arm
Boot Strap
The boot strap assists with closing the tailgate, where it is too high to reach.
Seat Belt Extenders
Sill / Boot Protectors
Door Sill and Boot Protectors help prevent accidental damage to your car when transferring wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Vehicle Ramps
Vehicle ramps are the ultra-lightweight solution to loading a Scooter or Wheelchair into the boot of a vehicle.
Finding the Right General Adaptations
Our general adaptations cover the everyday tasks around your car, from opening and closing the boot to handbrake, steering, gear selection and cruise control adaptations, seat belt aids, sill and boot protection and vehicle ramps. Many of these adaptations are available on the Motability Scheme and can be recommended following a professional assessment.
