The Electronic Side Step is designed to aid in the access to vans and larger vehicles, this is due to the reduced amount the user will need to step up to access the vehicle, once the door is opened the Side Step extends to allow the user to step into the vehicle. Once the door is closed the Step retracts into the side of the vehicle to prevent it protruding.
With a weight capacity of up to 250kg (39 Stone) and the ability to be fitted in virtually any position in the vehicle, this system is highly versatile.
An electronic side step automatically extends when you open the vehicle door and retracts when you close it. This provides an intermediate stepping point between the ground and the vehicle floor, making access easier for people who struggle with the step height into taller vehicles.
Electronic side steps are available for most SUVs, MPVs, and vans where the floor height makes entry difficult. They're particularly popular for vehicles like the Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Tourneo, and similar tall vehicles.
Most electronic side steps support 200kg or more, easily accommodating any user. They're built to withstand regular use in all weather conditions.
