The GuidoSimplex “S-Tran” swivel seat family is designed to facilitate easy vehicle access for those with a reduced mobility capacity. The S-Tran is an EU approved system and is divided into two different categories, a ‘fully programmable electric swivel seat’ which lowers out of the vehicle, and a ‘rotating electric swivel seat’ which swivels out of the vehicle but does not lower itself towards the ground. Both versions will allow you to recline the backrest to a maximum of 170°.
The S-Tran is finish in soft Italian leather, making it one of the most comfortable swivel seats available. This also allows the S-Tran to blend in seamlessly with most vehicle interiors.
Why choose the S-Tran?
- For vehicles with a high transfer height the ability of the S-Tran to lower itself out of a vehicle allows for a much more comfortable level to transfer from a wheelchair or scooter.
- Seat reclines to 170 degrees electronically. This can also happen automatically when moving out of a vehicle to avoid the door frame.
- This is the only swivel seat to operate using a ‘one touch’ remote. This means that you do not have to hold down the button on your remote for the duration of a manoeuvre in/out of a vehicle.

How does a Swivel Seat work?
A Swivel Seat is a seat within a vehicle that has been adapted in such a way that, as the name suggests, it can be swivelled by 90 degrees; so that it faces directly out of the door of the vehicle. This makes it very easy for someone to lower themselves into the seat, without having to bend and twist as they manoeuvre under the arch of the door. Some swivel seats also feature a powered up/down motion to make transferring even easier.
