Push Down Brake
Push Down Brake
The Push Down Brake allows people to manage acceleration and braking using just their hands. It can be installed in cars with automatic, progressive transmission, and power-assisted steering.
This hand control consists of a downwards push brake lever which operates by pushing the lever down towards the floor of the vehicle to control braking. This action can be seen in the demonstrative video linked below which features the Push Down brake being used alongside the K5 Ring Accelerator.
Fitted via a mechanical linkage to the brake pedal, this lever does not affect the airbag, does not limit access to the standard driving controls of the vehicle meaning that nominated drivers are still able to use the original car controls.
This brake lever is also available with 3 additional functions. A 50% acceleration limiter, Hill Hold, and Horn. They are often Paired with the K5 ring accelerator and the K0 ring accelerator.
Additional Features
Every installation for an Electronic Accelerator comes complete with a Motor Reduction Button which reduces the accelerator power by 50%. The operation of this can be integrated into the lever of this push down brake. This helps reduce any stress in built up traffic, or when parking. It can also help whilst the user is first learning to use the adaptation by acting as a 'Limiter'.
A Brake Safety Switch is featured in the installation of the Brake Lever, or retro-fitted to the original pedal. Upon activation of this switch the Electronic Accelerator is automatically deactivated allowing you to safely perform an emergency stop should the occasion arise. To regain acceleration simply release the brake and accelerator.
