The K5 can be used in cars with an automatic transmission or automatic clutch by drivers who have a lack of mobility in their lower limbs. It transfers the accelerator control from the pedal to the steering wheel, allowing you to Accelerate With One or Both Hands.

K5 Gas Ring
Discrete and Convenient, the K5 gives the opportunity to accelerate by either pulling or pushing the ring; the driver can change the driving style, instantly, relating to the road conditions. The accelerator ring is placed under the steering wheel. For that reason it does not interfere with the steering wheel airbag or with the operation of the horn. It also does not obstruct your view of the dashboard at all.
This product requires very little strength in the hand or fingers to operate and so is well suited to people with reduced capabilities in these areas. These devices are usually combined with a brake lever that operates the vehicles brakes by pushing the lever down towards to floor.
Additional Features
Eco Mode
On all models it is possible to activate the ECO Mode that reduces the accelerating power of the car to 60%, making parking manoeuvres easier and limiting the fuel consumption. This option is recommended especially to “fresh drivers” to help them increase confidence and security when driving.
Brake Safety Switch
A Brake Safety Switch is featured in the installation of the Brake Lever, or retro-fitted to the original pedal. Upon activation of this switch the K5 Gas Ring Accelerator is automatically deactivated allowing you to safely perform an emergency stop should the occasion arise. To regain acceleration simply release the brake and accelerator.

Are Hand Controls compatible with my car?

Can someone else still drive my car once Hand Controls have been installed?
Almost all driving adaptations allow someone else to drive the car as usual. Depending on the adaptation, they can either be folded away, turned off, or partially removed using a quick release mechanism. In some cases, nothing needs to be done at all.
