What are channel ramps?

Channel ramps are twin track ramps that the wheelchair wheels run along, rather than a full width solid ramp. They're lighter than solid ramps while still providing stable access for manual and powered wheelchairs.

When would channel ramps be preferred over solid ramps?

Channel ramps suit situations where weight is a concern, such as portable applications or where ramps need frequent manual handling. Solid ramps may be preferred for powered wheelchairs with different wheel positions or where users prefer continuous surface contact.

How are channel ramps secured when not in use?

Properly installed channel ramps have dedicated storage positions within the vehicle and securing mechanisms to prevent movement during travel.
