Permanent Swivel Seats
Turny seat lift

Easy access to your high seated vehicle. Turny lowers the seat to a comfortable ground level. The Turny swivels the car seat out through the door opening and lowers it to a suitable position for transfer to or from a wheelchair.
The Turny is available in three lifting heights; 300 mm, 395 mm and 480 mm, suitable for high seated vehicles such as MPVs, SUVs, mini-buses and vans.

A wireless remote control is available as an optional extra and the maximum lowering stop is programmable.
The Turny Orbit has electrically operated swivelling, lifting and lowering. Turny HD has electrically operated lifting and lowering, while inward and outward swivelling is done manually by lifting the release lever by the side of the car seat.
The installation

The Turny can be installed in the front passenger seat or in the mid row and provides safe means of transport for the mobility-impaired, as the original three-point car belt is retained.
The product is installed in the original car seat mounts in the floor, which in the majority of cases causes no damage to the vehicle, and it can also be transferred when necessary to another vehicle.
The Turny is CE- and E-marked and approved for a lifting capacity of 150 kg. It has also been subjected to crash, tensile and load tests.
Turnout seat swivel

By swivelling the seat out over the sill you can simplify getting in and out of your vehicle, whether you are using a wheelchair or otherwise have impaired mobility. The Turnout is a swivel base that is installed in the floor attachments of the vehicle's original seat.
To preserve a suitable seat height inside the vehicle the Turnout shall be combined with a low profile seat, such as the BEV-seat or the Recaro Specialist L seat. It is not recommendable to use the original seat with the Turnout.

Turnout is available in a manual version, or in a powered version, operated by a hand held control. By choosing a powered Turnout you can better focus on getting the feet over the sill while swivelling.
No damage to the vehicle

The Turnout is mounted in the original seat bolt holes in the floor. When the vehicle needs to be replaced the original seat can be mounted again and the vehicle has not lost resale value.
Safety
The Turnout has been safety tested according to current ISO standards and European regulations for equipment installed in vehicles.
Turnout as part of the Carony system

Turnout is also an integral part of the Carony system, which is a wheelchair with a seat that can be moved on rails from the wheel unit over to the vehicle swivel base. By using a Carony, the wheelchair occupant does not need to be lifted in and out of the vehicle. The user can be seated in the same seat from inside the house and right into the vehicle front seat position.
The Carony manual wheelchair is easy to manoeuvre and functions as an ordinary comfort wheelchair. It is available with 24” driving wheels or as a transportation wheelchair with 12” rear wheels.
Adding features to the Turnout
The Turnout combined with the seat tilt Tilda:

Tilda provides the possibility to tilt the entire seat up to 15°, in three steps.
When seated in tilt position 1, the car ride becomes more relaxing and the adjustability also provides relief when suffering from pain or spastic conditions.
In combination with Carony, Tilda will provide more head space as the seat slides over from the Carony wheel unit to the swivel base inside the car.
Turnout combined with Caroslide, the powered lengthwise seat adjustment:

When Turnout is installed together with the Caroslide powered seat adjustment, you can drive the seat slightly backwards while swivelling inside or forwards while swivelling out. This way you make more room for the legs as they are being moved over the sill.
Caroslide provides an adjustability of 240 mm and is operated by a toggle switch at the side of the seat.
Wheelchair Swivel Seats
Carony system with Turny
Carony Fixed eliminates lifting by the attendant and simplifi es transfer to and from the vehicle. A couple of simple hand movements allow a single person to transfer the chair and passenger from the wheelchair base to the passenger seat. This is done without any lifting and so avoids arm and back strain. The compact wheelchair base is stored in the trunk when not in use. Carony Fixed is CE-marked.
Carony Fixed is a specially designed Carony model that is used in combination with the Turny car seat lift. Its continuously adjustable lifting and lowering function allows it to dock with the Carony Fixed base, which has a set standard height. The set of pictures below illustrates passenger transfer from a Carony Fixed to a Turny Orbit in a mini-bus.
1. Swivel Turny outwards and lower to a suitable height.
2. Dock the wheelchair to Turny and slide the seat onto the rails.
3. Store the wheel unit in the vehicle.
4. Use the manual control for lifting and inward swivelling.
5. Swivel Turny inwards to the passenger seat in the vehicle.
6. Total time of inward swivelling is about 38 seconds.

The low built seat is crash tested and fulfils current vehicle regulations and the passenger travels safely strapped by the vehicle seatbelt.
Carony 12" and 24"
Carony is available with two different wheel alternatives: 12" rear wheels, which is a transport wheelchair for those unable to drive themselves and with 24" drive wheels, for those who can.
